The time has come to give our repertoire a bit of a shake-up, so we decided to treat ourselves to some rehearsal time at the fabulous rehearsal studio at The Joint (Field St., London). This treat got even better as we arrived at The Joint to be cheerily greeted with the news that we had been given a free upgrade to their biggest space, "The Sound Stage". It was a huge room with two mixing desks and as usual the staff had helpfully provided a great set up including P.A., drumkit and keyboard. We had an evening session of 5 hours which provided ample opportunity to get the creative juices flowing as we jammed through our new tunes and some old favourites, which included Luther Vandross' "Never Too Much", some Blues Brothers classics, Bill Withers' "Just The Two Of Us" and our interpretation of Maceo Parker's version of the fabulous "Georgia On My Mind". We look forward to playing some of this new material at our upcoming private gig in Bristol this weekend!
